Terms of Service

CutLift (cutlift.com) is operated by Nader Aldweik, an individual ("we", "us"). By using the CutLift website or editor ("the service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Questions: support@cutlift.com.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for personal and commercial photo editing, under these terms. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the service itself, or try to get around its account or payment checks.

Your photos and everything you make with CutLift remain yours. Photos are processed on your device and are never uploaded to our servers, so we do not receive, store or use them.

You are responsible for having the rights to the photos you edit and to what you create and publish with them.

You must not use CutLift, including Generative fill (our AI image-generation feature), to:

• create deepfakes or otherwise make realistic fake images of real people presented as real;
• impersonate any real person or organisation;
• create sexual or nude (NSFW) content of real people, or any sexual content involving minors;
• harass, bully, threaten, defame or humiliate anyone;
• mislead or deceive people, for example with fake evidence or manipulated news images;
• violate anyone's privacy, or infringe copyright, trademark, likeness or publicity rights;
• create or share any illegal content;
• attack, overload or try to break into the service, its accounts or its payment systems.

You are responsible for having the rights and any permissions needed for the photos you edit, including the consent of people shown in them. CutLift has no face-swap features. We may close accounts that break these rules and report illegal content to the authorities.

Generative fill uses the Stable Diffusion v1.5 inpainting model, which is licensed under the CreativeML OpenRAIL-M licence. That licence requires us to pass its use restrictions on to you, so by using Generative fill you also agree not to use it or its output:

• in any way that breaks any applicable national, federal, state, local or international law or regulation;
• to exploit, harm or attempt to exploit or harm minors in any way;
• to generate or spread verifiably false information or content with the purpose of harming others;
• to generate or spread personal identifiable information that can be used to harm an individual;
• to defame, disparage or otherwise harass others;
• for fully automated decision making that adversely affects an individual's legal rights or creates or modifies a binding, enforceable obligation;
• to discriminate against or harm individuals or groups based on online or offline social behaviour or known or predicted personal or personality characteristics;
• to exploit any of the vulnerabilities of a specific group of persons based on their age, social, physical or mental characteristics, in order to materially distort their behaviour in a way that causes or is likely to cause physical or psychological harm;
• to discriminate against individuals or groups based on legally protected characteristics or categories;
• to provide medical advice or interpret medical results;
• to generate or spread information for use in the administration of justice, law enforcement, immigration or asylum processes, such as predicting that an individual will commit fraud or a crime.

Generative fill is a beta feature; its results can be imperfect.

You can use many features without an account. Some features need you to sign in with Google or GitHub. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to create an account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or abuse the service.

CutLift Pro is a subscription of $4.99 per month (or the price shown at checkout) that unlocks Pro features for your account. It renews automatically each month, charged to the payment method you used, until you cancel. Each account also gets one free premium download. Access is instant once payment completes.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it processes the payment and handles taxes, order-related inquiries and refunds on our behalf. Its own terms apply to the purchase.

You can cancel anytime from your Account page (Manage subscription) or through the link in your receipt. After cancelling, Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for and is not charged again. If a renewal payment fails, Pro is paused until the payment goes through. We will tell you in advance before changing the price. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

We may add, change or remove features, or stop the service, at any time. If we change these terms in a meaningful way we will update the date at the top of this page.

The service relies on others: Auth0 for sign-in (with Google or GitHub), Dodo Payments as our reseller and Merchant of Record for orders, Cloudflare for our account backend and analytics, GitHub Pages for hosting and a third-party file host for the AI model files your browser downloads. Their own terms apply to their services. See the Privacy Policy for what they receive.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. AI results can be wrong or imperfect; check your work before you rely on it. Keep your own copies of important files.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the courts of Jordan have jurisdiction over any dispute.
